$ 200,000 to entertain refugees

premiers-refugies-syriens-arrives-torontoThe Canada Council for the Arts and a private partner have promised this morning to inject $ 200,000 to entertain Syrian refugees arriving in Canada.

The project will support artistic enterprises “that wish to offer free access to refugees in a show, exhibition or an art event in their community”, said the Council.

“We know that arts and culture can be a haven,” said Simon Brault, CEO of the organization.

Sun Life Financial will invest $ 50,000 to $ 200,000.
