A Quebecers 24 years died doing a hike in New Hampshire, said the Department of Fisheries and State Sports.
Simon Deschênes, Saguenay, collapsed as he was walking with friends on the track Falling Waters, Lincoln. He fainted after about 4 km on Saturday morning.
The young man could not be revived despite the efforts of other walkers and conservation officers came to his rescue. A helicopter of the National Guard of New Hampshire flew over the scene.
The aircraft descended a stretcher. Mr. Deschênes has been installed by a rescuer. Once the man was able to board the helicopter, it then headed towards the Litleton Regional Hospital where the death of Mr. Deschênes was found.
