A woman is killed in an accident in Sherbrooke

1111378A woman aged 30 died after being involved in a face-to-face in Sherbrooke, in the Eastern Townships, Sunday afternoon.

The accident occurred at about 2:20 p.m. is at the height of 4197 Chemin Sainte-Catherine.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered very serious injuries, but was in stable condition.

An investigation was underway to determine the circumstances of the accident.

The snow could be involved because “the road conditions were difficult at the time of the event,” reported Martin Carrier, spokesperson for the Sherbrooke Police Service (SPS). No criminal element was evaluated.

The Ste-Catherine road was closed to traffic for several hours between chemin Saint-Roch and Felton Street.
