A veteran of Apple Computer Group, who oversaw the brand’s projects at the apple in the automotive sector, will leave the company, said Friday the Wall Street Journal, citing sources close to the dossier.
Steve Zadesky, a former Ford engineer, joined Apple 16 years ago and has spent the last two at the head of the secret electric car project “Titan”, the newspaper said.
His departure, the exact date is not clear, is motivated by personal reasons, according to sources of the newspaper. But this is a disappointment for Apple’s plans in the automobile.
The group itself has never directly confirmed the Titan project, but he recruited in recent years many experts in the automotive sector, fueling intense speculation about his intentions.
Contacted by AFP Friday, a spokesman for Apple declined to comment.
