Quarterbacks Trevor Harris and Rakeem Cato and the defensive end Marcus Howard were chosen the MVPs of July in the CFL.
Harris has contributed to the 3-1 Toronto Argonauts, although the team played its four meetings abroad. He completed 74.8% of passes he attempted for gains of 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns, tops in the league.
Cato, a rookie Canadian football, helped the Alouettes to sign two wins in three games. He maintained a success rate of 72.2% of passing attempts, with 882 yards and four touchdowns amassed. He received an excellent average of 6.4 yards per carry.
Howard scored a league-high five sacks for a loss of yards, although he missed a game with the Edmonton Eskimos (3-1). It is on track to surpass its peak of 11 sacks set in 2011.
