The former Montreal Canadiens brawler, Todd Ewen, passed away at the age of 49, Saturday.
The St. Louis Blues, another organization for which he played, made the announcement on their Twitter account.
Ewen spent four seasons in the tricolor uniform, and raised the Stanley Cup in 1993. In 190 games with the Canadiens, he scored 32 points, including 13 goals.
However, it was most recognized for his pugilistic talents. As evidence, he was sentenced penalty 609 minutes during this same period.
Ewen, from Saskatchewan, also donned the uniforms of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and San Jose Sharks in his 11-year career.
