The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrested two residents of Toronto to illegal importation of about 989 grams of heroin.
The investigation began on November 2 when the Canada Border Services Agency at the Vancouver International Mail Centre intercepted a parcel from Malaysia. Heroin was hidden in several video game consoles.
The package was to be delivered in Toronto. The RCMP subsequently identified two suspects.
The two men, Peter Ukwuaba, 48, and Samuel Anike, 45, have been charged with importing such drugs in Canada and conspiracy to trafficking.
