(Nicolet) The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Safety, Lise Thériault, on Friday inaugurated the new training pavilion at the École nationale de police du Québec (ENPQ). Besides the impressive facilities that want the economy of $ 400,000 for construction costs has attracted attention during the traditional ribbon cutting.
Self-financed by the institution, the new building of around 3,000 square meters required an investment of $ 10.3 million while the forecast was instead of 10.7 million. It is the infrastructure Société québécoise (SQI) which acted as project manager for this project. The work, which had begun in May 2014, ended this summer, as expected.
“The new training pavilion has unique facilities and cutting edge, recreating as closely as possible the workplace of the future police and various public safety stakeholders. There is no doubt that this initiative will benefit our entire society, “said Minister Thériault.
This was the patron of the presentation of certificates of police cadets of the 161st promoting ENPQ. Many elected officials and dignitaries also attended the ceremony.
