The member for Sherbrooke Luc Fortin has replaced the head of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Philippe Couillard.
Mr. Fortin is forced due to health problems, according to the Prime Minister’s office.
It was explained that for “medical reasons” and following “a recommendation of his doctor,” Minister of Culture and Communications, Minister for the Protection and Promotion of the French language and Minister responsible for Estrie region is absent “for an indefinite period.”
Mr. Couillard is forced to make other temporary adjustments to the composition of his Cabinet. It temporarily entrusted Luc Fortin’s responsibilities to the Minister for Higher Education, Hélène David.
For his part, Pierre Paradis, Minister of Agriculture, becomes responsible for the Estrie region time without Mr. Fortin.
