The Sherbrooke Orange O’Clock trio continues to make his mark, this time slipping among the finalists of the International Songwriting Competition, a competition highlighting the talent of songwriters around the world, and has already honored well-known artists such Vance Joy, big winner last year with his song Riptide.
Ç’est song Wax n ‘Wane signed by Mickaël Fortin which earned the group to be selected among the fifteen finalists in two of twenty-one categories, Rock and Unsigned Only, the latter being reserved for artists n’ having no contract with a major label.
The trio has a chance to win the Grand Prix all categories, worth US $ 25,000, but also many other prizes. In all, 68 winners will share more than $ 150,000 in cash and prizes.
Among the contest judges include artists as famous as Tom Waits, Lorde, Kesha, Pat Metheny, Avicii, Moby and Sean Paul. Several makers of the music world, including such prestigious label Warner Bros. Records, Atlantic Records, Epic Records, Elektra Records and Glassnote Records, are also part of juries and lay an ear to the song of the trio.

Winners will be announced during the month of May.
Meanwhile, the Sherbrooke trio will be performing on April 23 in La Meunerie St Adrian and May 6 at the Montcalm School in Sherbrooke, for a concert in the company of Harmony Montcalm.
