The fast food chain Planet Putin is sold. The company founded in 2012 in Trois-Rivières and operates 17 franchises in Quebec and New Brunswick was purchased by a businessman from Montreal following an unsolicited takeover bid.
“Putin Planet was not for sale. But the businessman Benoit Charron made me a sufficiently attractive offer I could not refuse, “said in an interview Yves Boissonneault Junior, the former owner of the Planet Putin chain. “My goal was to open 20 franchises. We have 17 to open and three more are planned. ”
The terms of the agreement are confidential, but the founder of the company ensures that the new owner wants to keep the head office in Trois-Rivières. It further indicates that the training center for franchisors and employees expect to be in this city.
“Benedict Charron fell in love with Planet Putin. He wants to bring the company even further and intends to develop such markets in Europe, “Mr. Boissonneault said.
A press conference is scheduled Wednesday in Trois-Rivières to announce the deal.
To new challenges
Yves Boissonneault Junior plans to take advantage of this sale to meet new challenges. This allows it to launch its Fire Race project, a winter obstacle course that promises to push the limits of participants. The first race to be presented this winter in Céraville Horseback riding of Trois-Rivières.
“We expect 4,000 runners for the event,” said the entrepreneur. “I want to bring endurance racing to another level.”
