The monitoring of the Sherbrooke Police Service helped dismantle a drug dealer network on Monday in Sherbrooke.
Three men and a woman have been charged in connection with this case at the courthouse of Sherbrooke after the raid, which took place on the Adelard-Collette Street.
Daniel Bergeron, Guy-Bruno Thériault and Julie Drouin are co-accused.
They appeared before the Claire Desgens judge of the Court of Quebec to be charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of making trafficking in cannabis, cannabis resin and cocaine as well as drug trafficking. The fourth defendant, Marc Bergeron, for his part, was charged with simple possession of narcotics and breach of conditions.
“Our officers went up on Sunday night to make arrests in the case. It is a place where you had doubts that there could be drug manipulations. The police found that people are manipulated drugs and possibly a gun, “said the spokesman of the Police Service of Sherbrooke, Philippe Dubois.
Cannabis, hashish, 550 pills of methamphetamine and crack cocaine were found during the search carried out in a housing neighborhood south center in Sherbrooke. The police also found several thousand dollars in cash and contraband cigarettes in 2400.
“We also found a weapon. Expertise will be made to determine if it was functional, “says the spokesman of the SPS.
The Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and SPS investigators spent part of the day at the scene of the search.
“We colligeons information about those arrested. It is too early yet to indicate whether they were linked to a network and that these drugs were intended, “said the spokesman of the SPS.
The prosecutor to criminal prosecution Me Tian Meng opposed the release of the four accused.
Their lawyers Me Christian Raymond, Me and Caroline Monette MeKim Dingman presented the records of their clients Tuesday for investigation of release.
Other charges may be laid in the records of these individuals.
