(Bruno Bisson) The Ville-Marie Expressway (A720) will be closed to westbound traffic throughout the weekend to allow the installation of the beams of the new overpass De Bleury Street, in the business district in downtown Montreal.
The highway will be closed for a distance of about three kilometers, from midnight tonight, between Panet Street in the CBC sector and the entrance at the height of the Lucien L’Allier Street near the Bell Centre.
This closure will remain in effect until 5 am Monday morning.
The access to A720 West says Transport Quebec will gradually be closed from 23: 30 pm Friday night.
Motorists who want to access the A720 westbound will be invited to take the René-Lévesque Boulevard to the entrance of the highway located up the street from the Fort.
The installation of the new bridge beams and impediments announced for this weekend could be postponed to a later date in the event of adverse weather conditions, eg strong winds.
