A driver would have done better to keep a low profile in the night from Saturday to Sunday at the exit of bars in downtown Magog.
The guy had the bad idea of squealing his tires at the corner of West Main and Merry. Around 3am, reports the Memphremagog Police Authority (RPM).
The police were monitoring at this intersection when the reckless driver “made a spectacle of screeching and skidding” says Sylvain Guay, spokesman for the RPM.
“Immediately intercepted, only the driver, a 43-year Magog was detained and arrested for driving while impaired by alcohol,” he said.
“Conduit police station, the suspect failed the breath test twice. His driving license was already revoked for impaired driving, with a history in this area back in 2000, 2002 and 2008 and several other folders for driving while disqualified. ”
In addition, the man was given to crime tickets for failing to wear a seat belt, not having a valid driver’s license and with having committed a reckless action putting life in danger. The lieutenant says police that pedestrians were in the area just outside the bar.
The Magogois must face justice.
