The Police Department has arrested two suspected Winnipeg ticket resellers to approach the Tragically Hip concert.
Police say double agents responded to an online ad tickets for Friday’s show. They then met the suspected dealers, who have offered their seats in the stalls for “a substantially larger amount than their face value.”
A man and a woman from Winnipeg, respectively aged 30 and 31, were arrested and charged under the Manitoba Act entertainment.
Tickets for the tour of the Canadian group were quickly flown across the country after the announcement of the news that the singer Gordon Downie, suffers from an incurable brain cancer.
The last concert of the rock group will be held August 20 in his hometown, or Kingston, Ontario.
