Trial for incest: the fate of the father in the hands of the jury

1177307The fate of the father of Sherbrooke accused of sexually assaulting two of his daughters in the hands of the jury.

Yves Tardif J. of the Superior Court handed over the fate of the accused in the hands of seven women and five men who make up the jury. They will be sequestered until they will not come to a unanimous verdict beyond a reasonable doubt.

The accused, whose identity is the subject of an order banning publication to protect those of the alleged victims, faces eight counts of incest, sexual assault, incitement to sexual touching and sexual touching between 2005 and 2008 and the sexual touching and invitation to sexual contact between 2013 and 2014.
