Two students from the University of Montreal are missing in New Zealand, where they had gone for hiking.
Stephen Vincent Lemieux and Louis Lessard, aged 23, were seen for the last time on July 6 in Queenstown, on the South Island, New Zealand.
The industrial design students should begin on July 7, hiking Kepler Track in Fiordland National Park.
They had arranged to meet a friend at the end of their tour, three days later. But they have never presented.
The families of Stephen Lemieux and Louis-Vincent Lessard alerted the authorities to the disappearance of young men Friday, when they realized that students were not on their flight back to Montreal.
The police department of Queenstown, Sergeant James Ure confirmed to La Presse that the disappearance was reported. He was not able to give further details.
