The pilot “Mercedes” Lewis Hamilton was fastest in the qualifying heats at the Grand Prix of France.
The first segment of qualifying, was unable to overcome Alonso, Hartley, Vandorn, Sirotkin and Stroll. The Protocol was headed by Hamilton, ahead of nearest rival by almost three tenths of a second.
In the second segment of Hamilton in a tight fight ahead of Vettel and Raikkonen. The top 10 was no place for the Window, Hulkenberg, Perez, Faded and Eriksson, but for the first time in the crucial qualifying segment broke through the French pilot “Zauber” Charles LeClair.
In the fight for the first row is “Mercedes” completely outplayed “Ferrari”. Hamilton ahead of team-mate Bottas and issued 75-th pole in his career and the first for 10 years in France. Vettel will start only third, and Raikkonen will start the race sixth.
