A new BMX circuit inaugurated in Saint-Colomban

Thirty young people from Saint-Colomban started on the tracks of the new BMX circuit since its opening.

NOVELTY. The spring Festival, which was held on the 27 and 28th of may last, was the occasion of inaugurating the all-new circuit of BMX in the park Phelan.

More than thirty children and adolescents who were given an appointment on the site of this new sports equipment, under the watchful eye of their parents.

Professional athletes from the team the bike shop The Cribs have made a demonstration of acrobatic maneuvers that have put out the eyes of participants and spectators gathered, in addition to providing technical advice to the young and to accompany them in their first laps on the BMX circuit.

Numerous prizes have been drawn among the participants, including a BMX bike brand Haro, which was won by the young Liliane Kastrantas, 5 years.

“The BMX track has aroused a certain interest among our young people and I am proud to add this equipment to our offer of activities in the park Phelan. With the water games, skate park, tennis courts and soccer fields, ice rink, multi-activity, the recreation and community Centre, jumpers and outdoor modules of games for all ages, we are continuing the consolidation of the park Phelan as a focal point of recreation in the heart of the village,” said mayor Jean Dumais.
