Considering the above, in the case of the adoption of the EU decision on abolition of daylight saving time, the Ministry will appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine about the possibility of making appropriate changes to the Procedure”, – told in the Ministry.
There’s also added that “the economic rationale for annual daylight savings time and information about reducing electricity consumption in the daylight saving time in the Ministry of economic development do not exist”.
Earlier, the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said that the European Union plans to cancel the daylight saving and winter time. The decision on this matter was made after the majority of surveyed EU citizens stated that the clock should be abolished.
Recall that according to Ukrainian legislation, the country takes the arrows twice a year on the last Sunday in March – one hour forward on the last Sunday of October – an hour back. That is five months of the year in Ukraine live in the winter time (UTC+2), seven in summer (UTC+3).
