Lenzerheide, Switzerland — Quebec’s Alex Harvey took Monday the fourth row of the third race of the Tour de ski, Switzerland, is the continuation of 15 km free style.
Thanks to this performance, the founder of Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges finished in the fourth position in the general classification of the Tour, which has seven steps.
Switzerland’s Dario Cologna, who dominates the general ranking, won the race Monday, ahead of Russians Sergey Ustiugov and Alexander Bolshunov.
Cologna has signed a time of 34 minutes and 56.6 seconds, and was ahead of Ustiugov by 17.6 seconds. Cologna has so delighted the jersey of leader at the Russian.
Starting from ninth place, Harvey has managed to finish in 35 : 43,4. He finished 1.3 seconds of Bolshunov and of the third rank.
“It was really a very, very good day. One kilometre from the end, it was still 15 seconds behind the third. We went back to the Russian in the last kilometer. The group I was in worked really well and had a very good end of the race, ” described Harvey.
“The conditions were really difficult though. In climbs, it was a really snow very slow, so it was really muscle and really difficult for everyone, but I had super good skis on the descents and I had a good sprint at the end. It was a really good day and a nice way to bounce back after the disappointment of yesterday, ” continued the one who also took the seventh rank of the first stage of the Tour, Saturday, and the 20th row of the second Sunday.
Harvey delay 1:01,8 on Cologna, after three events.
Skiers will enjoy a day of rest Tuesday, while the Tour de ski will travel to Oberstdorf, Germany, to welcome the sprint classic on Wednesday.
