Presidential Administration officially confirmed information that the US company Chevron wants to unilaterally abandon the project for the development of shale gas in Olesky area. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valery Chaly during a briefing on “Important aspects of foreign policy of the president.”

“Today, many projects that were signed before they really got a pretty difficult situation. Including the Donbas problems that are very difficult to overcome in a short period. These signals are. As you know, last year Ukraine has signed an agreement with Chevron for shale gas in Olesko field . Under the agreement, the company has invested 350 million dollars in exploration of shale gas in the Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
