The cause of death of 8-year-old girl in serious condition was hospitalized from the children’s camp “Slavutich” was the poisoning in the camp. This is evidenced by the autopsy results, said the Chairman of Kyiv regional state administration Alexander Gorgan, reports pack.
“Yesterday we did an autopsy, is the conclusion of the medical examiner. Autopsy confirms the child’s death was due to poisoning, which occurred July 2 in the health camp “Slavutich,” said Gorgan.
The Chairman yeah noted that forensic examination was carried out in the framework of criminal proceedings, and the conclusion attached to the case materials, therefore, is not subject to disclosure.
At the same time, Gorgan assured that the administration in this case “hard work”.
“From the KOGA now, take all statutory and possible responses to the situation. Law enforcement officers continue to investigate the criminal proceedings (part 1 of article 325 “Violation of sanitary rules and regulations for the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisoning” of UK of Ukraine – ed.),” said Gorgan.
He also added that in connection with the death of a child, the question was raised to change the classification of the offense, but whether to make such a decision law enforcement officers, he did not know.
The Ministry of health appointed a clinical-expert Commission, which will check the quantity and quality of medical care to a child in the hospital camp “Slavutich”, as well as in the district hospital of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky, reported on the website of the Ministry of health.

The Prosecutor’s office of Kyiv region initiated criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 325 of the criminal code of Ukraine (“Violation of sanitary rules and regulations concerning the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisonings”).
