The song Head Above Water Lavigne wrote one of the most painful periods of treatment. “I felt death. I thought I was drowning. It was impossible to breathe. My mother kept on me, and so I wrote this song. Later, together with Travis Clark we sat down at the piano and modeled it. A brilliant Stefan Moccio did the rest,” added the singer.
