In France, the winner was revealed one of the most prestigious literary awards – Prix Goncourt, according to bfmtv.
This year’s winner was a writer Nicolas Mathieu for the book “Children after them” (Leurs enfants apres eux). It voted six experts out of ten.
The story unfolds in 1992, and the main character of the novel was a 14-year-old Anthony, experiencing first love and growing up.
The size of the Prix Goncourt is just 10 euros, however, the recognition of the Academy and greatly improves circulation, and recognition of the writer.
Literary award was established by the brothers Edmond and Jules de Goncourt in 1903. Since then it has been awarded annually.
