Belarusian Orthodox Church asks autonomy from Moscow

As an example of self BPTS leads the church in Latvia, Estonia and Moldova.
Belarusian Orthodox Church intends to ask for it the status of a self-governing church as part of the Moscow Patriarchate. This is stated in the outcome document of the general meeting of the Minsk dioceses metropolis.

Belarusian clergy thanked Patriarch Kirill, but asks for greater autonomy.

“To ask the Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavsky Paul, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus petition the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill and the Holy Synod of the Belarusian Orthodox Church to provide a self-governing status of the Church as part of the Moscow Patriarchate,” – the document says.

As an example of self BPTS leads the church in Latvia, Estonia and Moldova.

Earlier, the UOC-KP said that the Moscow Patriarchate assists terrorists in the Donbas.
