The Board of Directors of the European Investment Bank approved a loan for Ukraine in the amount of 1 billion euros. This is stated in the press service of the bank.
“The Board of Directors approved a new loan for a total amount of EUR 1 billion for Ukraine as part of a package of 3 billion special measures for the country for the period 2014-2016 years” – said in a statement.
Also, the Board of Directors of the EIB approved a loan of 50 million euros for international biotech company Bavarian Nordic as an aid in the search for vaccines against Ebola virus.
“The decision to finance projects in Ukraine and help projects to find solutions to the pandemic virus Ebola is evidence that the EIB shies away from adopting the necessary decisions, even if it is complicated or uncomfortable conditions,” – said the president of the EIB Vermeer Hoer.
