In Brussels, EU summit kicks off

Expected to be approved on the eve of new sanctions against Russia annexed the Crimea.

It will discuss issues related to the Ukrainian crisis. “It is important that the results of this discussion, we agreed on a clear political position,” – said one senior EU officials.

According to European diplomats at the talks will also discuss increasing financial assistance to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the press service of the Council of the European Union indicate that before the launch of the EU summit will take additional sanctions in connection with the illegal annexation of the Crimea and Sevastopol. It is reported that the new restrictions will affect not only Brussels tourism and investment in the economy of the peninsula, but also would include a ban on trade in energy and a number of other Crimean goods.

In addition to Ukrainian issues EU summit plan to pay special attention to improving the investment climate in Europe.
