Budapest said that the decision of the European Parliament on the introduction of sanctions for “petty revenge” for the immigration policy of the current government. This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siyyarto, reports the press service of the foreign Ministry.
“The decision of the European Parliament for the adoption of the report of Sargentini is petty revenge proimmigration politicians,” he said during a press conference today, Wednesday 12 September.
He said that Hungary had “proved that there is no need to migrate, and migration can be stopped”, which caused dissatisfaction of the European Union.
“This decision is a result of fraud, because the votes abstentions were not included in the vote, despite the clear requirements of the European treaties. We will consider the available options for legal protection,” he said.
This decision, I am sure Siarto is proof that proimmigration policy constitute the majority of the European Parliament.
“We also knew, and today it’s been proven that proimmigration policies are also members of the majority in the European people’s party,” he said.
We remind, today the European Parliament for the first time in history the EU approved the introduction of penalty procedures against member country Hungary. The European Union accuses Budapest in violation of the rule of law, in particular the harassment of non-governmental organizations.
