Canada beats Switzerland and again won the Spengler cup

Davos, Switzerland — Kevin Poulin has blocked 36 shots and Canada beat Switzerland 3-0 on Sunday, winning the Spengler cup for a third year in a row.


Zach Boychuk, Maxim Noreau scored in the second period, then David McIntyre has completed a third and twenty.


The maple leaf is the champion of the event for a 15th time in total — a record, tied with HC Davos.


Hockey Canada took advantage of the tournament as a final opportunity to evaluate players who might be selected for the olympic Games to Pyeongchang in February.
