CEC: Putin may not participate in election debates

Vladimir Putin is not allowed to participate in debates personally. This was stated by the representatives of the CEC.

 

According to the Secretary of the Commission, Maya Grishina, the President has the right to pass such statements in connection with the performance of job duties. The employee of the CEC argues that the law in the national debate, the applicant participated personally with the exception of cases when he is unable to participate for a valid reason, including by reason of performance of official duties. Instead, have the right to attend the debate.

Vladimir Putin today announced its participation in the upcoming presidential election. He stated this at a meeting with workers of the plant GAZ in Nizhny Novgorod.

The election of a new President will take place on March 18, 2018. Competitors current leader of the Russian Federation is the head of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Catherine Gordon, Kseniya Sobchak, Boris Titov and others.
