Datsun will introduce its first crossover in December

According to foreign automotive publications, the Japanese budget brand Datsun is ready to publicly present the new cheap crossover. It is noted that the new product will debut before the end of this year, and taking orders for the model will start immediately after the premiere.

 

Journalists of the European automotive publications, citing its own sources in the brand Datsun, owned by Nissan, it was reported that the Japanese budget automaker is preparing a new budget crossover related to the compact segment. It is expected that the premiere will be held this year.

Insiders said that the novelty will be constructed on the basis of compact hatchback Nissan Micra, and the appearance of the model will be somewhat similar to the conceptual Datsun Go Cross introduced in 2015. It is noted that the first model will debut in the Indonesian market, but will later become available in other countries.

As regards the technical characteristics, the new budget crossover from Datsun will most likely get under the hood a 1.2-liter petrol engine, which is capable of generating not more than 70 horsepower. This motor is equipped with an MPV Datsun Go and Datsun Go+. It is expected that before the Russian market the novelty will not reach.
