The President of Poland Andrzej Duda congratulated Petro Poroshenko and Ukrainians on Independence Day. About it reports a press-service of Administration of the President.
“I want to assure You of the respect to the Ukrainian people, which is aggressively building an independent state and is ready for the greatest sacrifices in the face of violations of international law and military aggression by the neighbor. I want to emphasize the continued support of Poland’s sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. Expression of this are the initiatives taken in this field in the forum of the UN security Council, OSCE, European Union and NATO,” – said in greeting.
In addition, Duda has promised that Poland will continue to contribute to the development of Ukraine’s relations with the European Union and NATO.
“Declare the future activities of Poland to strengthen Ukraine’s relations with the EU and NATO, as well as support in implementing ambitious domestic reforms that will bring Ukraine closer to the standards adopted in these organizations. In the interests of Poland and Europe — Ukraine as a modern state with a well-functioning economy that provides a high level of living for its citizens,” – says Duda.
Also, the Polish President expressed hope for a settlement of the question of history among States.
“We hope to achieve positive results also in the dialogue on the tragic pages of our common history. I am convinced that the strategic partnership of Poland and Ukraine must be built on a Foundation of truth about the past and in the spirit of the two peoples professed Christian values” – said the President of Poland.
Andrzej Duda wished prosperity to the Ukrainians.

The President of the United States Donald trump sent a message of congratulations to President Petro Poroshenko, noting that the United States will always support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Before that, the President of France Emmanuel Makron congratulated Poroshenko and Ukrainians on Independence Day. He noted that France remains near Ukraine to find a sustainable solution to the conflict in the Donbas.
Pope Francis wished Ukrainians blessings, particularly citizens in the East of Ukraine.
In addition, joined the congratulations of the heads of European countries. Later, Erdogan stressed that Turkey continues to support the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
