European Bank will allocate 200 million euro loan for the restoration of Donbass

The Government of Ukraine is preparing to sign the respective agreement.
In the coming days will sign a loan agreement between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank for 200 million euros (about 3.76 billion USD), which directed the restoration of life support systems and infrastructure Donbass. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Gennadiy Zubko in the air “Channel 5”.

Zubko said that in November, the government has allocated 375 million USD, of which 150 million were determined to restore infrastructure Luhansk region, the rest – Donetsk region.

The official said that control over the proper use of these funds must be from the communities on whose territory the damaged infrastructure, social facilities and support systems.

“Every community has to determine the objects to which these funds to be directed and that you first need to recover,” – said Deputy Prime Minister.

Earlier, the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the second half of October approved the allocation of EUR150 million loan to the Ukrainian gas transport operator Ukrtransgaz Urengoy-Uzhgorod Pomary which Russian gas to Europe.
