Ukrainian Yaroslav Lodygin action “Wild field”, based on the novel by Serhiy Zhadan “vorochilovgrad”, will be shown at the international film festival class A “Dark night”. The film will compete for the prizes of the program of feature debuts, according to the filmmakers.
In addition to “Wild field” in this competition will show 17 films from different countries. The film festival will be held from 16 November to 2 December.
“When the painting was almost ready, we chose which of two festivals “A” class to go, and the producers opted for Tallinn. Since this is a dynamic festival programme which is well viewed by the international press, it is popular among distributors and sales agents,” said Lodygin.
The film “Wild field” is published in Ukrainian cinemas on 8 November. He talks about a guy named Herman, who returned to his native town in the Donbas. The older brother of the main character disappears and now Herman have to protect the family business — an old gas station. He meets childhood friends and enemies that capture the earth, transforming it in the corn fields and the railroad that leads to nowhere.
The main role in the film was played by Oleg Moskalenko, Aleksey Gorbunov, Ruslana Khazipova, Vladimir Yamnenko, George Povolotsky and others.
We will remind, in connection with the premiere of a new edition of the novel “Voroshilovgrad”. The cover of the new edition was decorated with poster tape.
