Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin intends to meet in Austria with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. He told about it in his blog.
According to Klimkin, it is going to hold a meeting with Lavrov in order to talk about political prisoners, so as, in its opinion, is of great importance, “emotionally”, as expressed by the Minister, and not politically.
In connection with the events in the Donbas and Crimea, Russia and Ukraine do not conduct a bilateral meeting of the foreign Ministers of both countries. In 2014 there were held negotiations of Ministers for foreign Affairs only in the Normandy format with participation Klimkin and Lavrov. Previously the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry noted that diplomatic relations between Moscow and Kiev there.
