Law enforcement authorities reported about suspicion to the former top managers of the Bank “national credit” in causing damages the financial institution in the amount of 597 million. This is stated in the message of the Deposit guarantee Fund of individuals (fgvfl).
According to him, investigators of the Main investigation Department of the National police, with the assistance of the DGF proved the involvement of former heads of Bank “national credit” to commit a criminal offence.
So, 20 August 2018, it was announced suspected former Chairman of the Supervisory Board, the Chairman of the Board, Advisor to the Chairman and expert Department of the Bank.
During the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings, registered in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations, it was found that the former managers of the Bank using the correspondent account, opened in Bank non-resident by the conclusion of pledge agreements on liabilities on loans of related companies and the subsequent deduction of funds caused losses to the Bank totaling 597 million.
Former officials of the Bank charged with committing a crime under part 5 of article 191 (“Assignment, waste of property or taking to them by abuse of official position in especially large size”) the Criminal code.
Note that the Bank “national credit” worked on the Ukrainian market since 1996 and was part of the group of small financial institutions in terms of assets. The main owner of the financial institution was Andrew Onistrat.
In September 2015, the national Bank decided to revoke the banking license and liquidation of the Bank. From June 2015, the Bank has the interim administration.
