The Minister of foreign Affairs of Canada Chrystia Freeland, who planned to visit Ukraine on 27-29 August, has cancelled his visit due to urgent negotiations. This was announced by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin on Twitter.
“Really a pity, what Chrystia Freeland has postponed his visit due to the urgency of the negotiations. Good luck @cafreeland and see you soon!” – wrote the head of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
In turn, the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk said on Twitter that Freeland canceled a visit to Kiev and Paris for talks over the North American agreement on free trade zone.
“Due to urgent events and negotiations around the North American FTA #NAFTA foreign Minister of Canada Freeland postpones visits to Kiev and Paris and sent to Washington,” wrote the Ambassador.
Note that Chrystia Freeland, who was in Germany, already banned in the United States. Because after Ukraine, she had to continue their European tour in Paris, her visit to France was also canceled.
In Ukraine she was supposed to meet with Petro Poroshenko Vladimir Groisman and Pavlo Klimkin, and speak before a meeting of ambassadors.
