Including 4 million Ukraine could build an international center for conservation of beech forests.
Germany will provide Ukraine 14 million euros for the project “Support of the protected areas Ukraine . ” Such an agreement was reached during the meeting, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine Igor Shevchenko with representatives of the German government, the official website of the Ukrainian government.
These funds will be used to strengthen the national parks , biosphere and natural reserves in the Carpathian region of Ukraine to increase the number of visitors, enhance the educational work with the local population, fulfillment of the European requirements for the conservation of valuable plant and animal species.
In addition, the negotiators discussed the possibility of making another 19 million euros.
Thus, the German side is considering providing adequate funding in the amount of 15 million euros for the preservation of valuable forest ecosystems with a view to adapting to climate change.
Another 4 million Ukraine could build an international center for conservation of beech forests and its location in Kvasy village in the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve.
