For a reason still undetermined, the vehicle tipped over on the side. The tank is then detached from the cab of the truck.
The highway was finally re-opened to traffic shortly after 19 h, more than six hours after the incident.
According to the trucking company, the driver and a driver of the auxiliary, who was in the cab were transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
The truck was carrying vegetable oil.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes until the reopening of the highway.
The tugs had not yet begun their work of evacuation to 14 h.
