The murder of the leader “DNR” in Donetsk, Alexander Zakharchenko should not negatively affect the implementation of the Minsk agreements and continue the negotiation process. This was stated on Monday, 3 September, the speaker of the German government Steffen Seibert, reports Reuters.
Seibert said that the death of Zakharchenko does not make the implementation of the Minsk agreements to defuse the situation in the Donbas is less important.
“We urge all parties to engage constructively in the negotiations”, – noted in the German foreign Ministry.
“It’s really important to avoid escalation,” he added, noting that the Federal government of Germany will continue to fulfil its commitments in the Minsk process.

At the same time, the SBU reported that “the death of Zakharchenko can be the result of internal criminal conflicts among the militants, primarily associated with the redistribution of pressed business for 2014-2018”. And the foreign Ministry of Ukraine said that the rapid reaction of the Russian foreign Ministry regarding the murder Zakharchenko is a Russian attempt to cover up the puppets, which it supports.
