In Lviv on the evening of 28 July, a group of men from Poland destroyed a wooden panel around the restoration of two statues of lions at the Polish military Cemetery of Eaglets. This was announced by Director of LKP “Museum “Lychakiv cemetery” Michael Nagai, reports ZAXID.NET.
The protection of cemeteries, together with the police managed to detain one of the provocateurs. The rest of the band managed to escape from the scene.
One of the provocateurs, who was detained at the scene, was called as the inhabitant of Krakow. His name is Mateusz Apiaries. Pole also said that we were a group of 9 people. They all stopped at one of Lviv hostels.
The press service of the patrol police confirmed that the detainee is a foreigner. He was taken to the police Department for questioning. The scene also worked the staff of SBU and investigators of Lychakiv district police station.
As reported, on March 13 at the Lychakiv cemetery in Lviv, a bomb exploded near the Polish Memorial Eaglets. Unknown threw an explosive device over the fence on the lawn. The explosion occurred 15 metres from business premises. As a result, nobody was injured, tombstones were also not damaged.
