The shooting on the rescue of children and their coach from a flooded cave in Thailand will begin in November of this year.
About this Thai film Director of Irish descent Tom Waller spoke at the international film festival in Toronto, reports the Bangkok Post.
Thai the film will be called Nang Non, and in English – The Cave (“Cave”).
The basis of the picture will fall a real event, when 12 players of the school football club along with his coach were trapped in the flooded water of the cave and stayed there for more than two weeks.
According to Waller, the protagonists will be the “unsung heroes” who took part in the rescue.
To the history of salvation already watched foreign producers, however, the Thai government has put forward a mandatory script approval. For local studios, this rule is not provided. Now Waller is negotiating with the authorities to get permission for shooting on location, in particular directly in the center of the cave.
