In Stockholm, during the inspection in the Vasastan neighbourhood police shot and killed 20-year-old man. It is reported Expressen.
Reportedly, the police opened fire in connection with the “alarming situation.” It became known later that the victim suffered from down syndrome and autism, and left the house with a toy gun in his hands.
Clarifies that the police got the call around 4 a.m. local residents who said the armed man on the street. Police arrived on the scene asked him to put “weapons”, and when he did not fulfill the requirement – opened fire.
The mother of the deceased reported that her son had a disability and did not even talk, to communicate using only the word “mother”.
Police report that it will conduct an internal investigation regarding the incident. At the moment none of the police officers are not a suspect in connection with the incident. The official comment States that “during the search of the person in the Norra station in Stockholm, the police find themselves in a threatening situation and opened fire”.
