The Embassy of Georgia in London were detained by the police of known Pro-Russian provocateur and propagandist Graham Phillips. This was announced by Georgian Ambassador to the UK, Tamara Beruchashvili, reports 1tv.
According to the Georgian diplomat, Phillips invaded the Embassy during the exhibition on the Russo-Georgian war of 2008 and began to shout anti-Georgian and anti-NATO slogans. In particular, according to him, Georgia is misrepresenting the events.
“The Embassy became the victim of Russian aggression, because there is suddenly invaded by a man with a camera who aggressively shouted that this is propaganda”, – said Beruchashvili.
British police have promised to investigate the incident.
We will remind that Graham Phillips has a reputation as a notorious journalist of the TV channels Russia Today and “Star”. In July 2014, he was detained by Ukraine’s security Service and deported from the territory of our country with prohibition of entry for three years. After that, the journalist has returned to the Russian Federation and from there to the Donbass, and continued his work. In the fall of 2016 he attributed the failure of attempts of exchange of prisoners.
