In the protected area of the gorge Uch-Kosh near Yalta two days of continued forest fires. It is reported “Crimea.Realities”.
“In the afternoon of August 11, the fire happened in the gorge Uch-Kosh, in a remote mountainous area on the slope of the order of 45-80 degrees. Extinguishing is complicated by the strong wind in the gorge, the speed of which reaches 15-20 m/s. Also there is a threat of distribution of fire on the forest up the slope”, – stated in the message.
Today 18:30 of EMERCOM of Russia reported that the fire managed to localize.
According to preliminary information, the fire area was 26 ha. there were no injuries.
The gorge Uch-Kosh is one of the longest in the Crimea – about five kilometers, the height of the rocks reaches 100 meters. It is in the mountains near Yalta.
