In Ukraine as a result of legalization has increased the number of payers of Single social contribution (ERU). This was in the “Evening Prime” to “112 Ukraine” said the Minister of social policy of Ukraine Andriy Reva.
“From 1 January to 1 August 2018 the number of payers of Ust, that is, insured persons in Ukraine increased by 184 thousand. People are gradually beginning to emerge from the shadows and start paying ERU … If we take our statistics today, we are considered to be engaged 16 million people, but actually of the 16 million employed paying ERUs approximately 12 million people,” said Reva.
Earlier it was reported that in the first quarter of 2018, the level of the shadow economy made up 33% of the official gross domestic product, which is 4 percentage points less compared to the first quarter last year.
The Ministry of economic development and trade (MEDT) noted that the unshadowing of the economy became possible due to maintaining macroeconomic stability and positive economic trends in terms of implementation of policies on expanding domestic demand, which contributed, including rising incomes of the population. The important role belonged to the strengthening of the investment component of economic growth in the face of continuing processes of economic reform, maintain a high level of business activity of the business.
At the same time, the dynamics of shadowing is constrained by unresolved problems. This, in particular, the significant challenges to the stability of the financial system and the presence of non-state-controlled territories, which were formed in result of military aggression on the territory of the country.
