The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine appealed to partners to increase pressure on Russia over the data about deterioration of health of Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov. About this on their page Twitter wrote the speaker of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry Marian Betz.

“Alarming information on the deteriorating health of Oleg Sentsov. Encourage partners to increase pressure on Russia for his release,” wrote Betz.

Earlier, the sister of Oleg Sentsov Natalie Kaplan said that he had received a letter from the Ukrainian. In this letter, Sentsov said that “he almost never gets up and the end is near”. At the same time, the Russian office of the Ombudsman argue that the condition of Sentsov relatively stable.

In turn, the Ukrainian lawyer Dmitry Dinze said that according to his information, Sentsov not going to release from a Russian prison. However, the Federal service of execution of punishments of the Russian Federation for Yamalo-Nenets district said that health workers visiting daily Sentsov and his health condition is satisfactory. In addition, according to the lawyer of the political prisoner, the chief physician of hospital in the Russian town of Labytnangi threatened Oleg Sentsov to tie it up and force stuffed with medicines and artificial nutrition.

Recall that Sentsov and Kolchenko was detained by Russian law enforcement in Crimea in may 2014. In August 2015 the North Caucasus district military court in Rostov-on-don sentenced. to 20 years and Kolchenko – to 10 years in prison. They are accused of terrorist activities.

On may 14 of this year, Oleg Sentsov was on a hunger strike to demand the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners, who are in Russian prisons. Today, August 8, continuing the 87th day of his hunger strike.
