Laurier Lafontaine-Giguere comes back with six medals!

The club Neptune Swimming de Saint-Jerome could count on ten swimmers to represent it in the Championship for 11-12 year olds held at the Gatineau sports Centre from 16 to 18 June.

More than 500 swimmers from all four corners of the province who had an appointment at this event. Several swimmers from Saint-Jerome lived for the first time the highs and lows of a provincial championship and they will come out winners thanks to all the experience gained. The mixed relay, made up of Laurier Lafontaine-Giguère, Charly Chapman, Alexia Kovaluk and Yulia Shostko-Datch concluded in second place with a time of 1:57,28. Laurier stood out in this competition by finishing in second place in the 100 metre butterfly, 100 metre freestyle and 200 metre free. Laurier was awarded the bronze medal in the 50 metres free and 100 metres backstroke.
