The reference to German dictator Adolf Hitler in a positive context is, at least, unethical. Such opinion on air of TV channel “112 Ukraine” expressed the ex-Minister of justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych, commenting on the statements of the head of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy about Hitler.
“There are two components. To deny the importance of direct democracy impossible, it is the right of citizens or at the local or state level to resolve critical issues. Another component is the promotion of a person, which led to a huge disaster on the planet. This component does not need to stand beside scientific approaches to direct or indirect democracy. There is science, there is politics. It is a political statement,” he said.
“The fact of the mention in a positive context negative character, which brought much sorrow to mankind is unethical”, he added.
Recall that the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy in television broadcast called the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, the biggest practitioner in the matter of direct democracy.
Note, the leader of the party “For life” Vadim Rabinovich has announced that is suing the head of BP Parubiy for the propaganda of fascism.
The leader of the public Association “the Ukrainian choice” Viktor Medvedchuk commented on this statement Parubiy.
“Mr. Parubiy, who said that he studied direct democracy “on a scientific level”, calling Adolf Hitler “the greatest man who practiced direct democracy” will be useful to know that a model of direct democracy is Switzerland, not Hitler’s Germany. Possibly to Parubiy and the popular front, Hitler is an example of “direct democracy”. That is the “democracy” (by the way, harassment of dissidents) embody the “veterans”. In any democratic country after such a statement the speaker is obliged to resign or to dismiss him should the Parliament. Especially since the cadence of the popular front ends, and with such figures as Bourbaki, Levus, knyazhitsky, Vladimir Vysotsky and paruby, no chance to get into the next Parliament he has no” – writes Medvedchuk.
